Curriculum Vitae

I graduated in Agricoltural and Environmental Science at Tuscia University in Viterbo (VT, Italy). My first approach with research was in the areas of training placements. During my bachelor’s degree I did my internship at the CNR-ISAFOM Institute in Ercolano (NA) from May 2016 to the end of July 2016, in which I followed the cultivation of bean (four native varieties of Campania: Butirro, Mustacciello, Zampognaro and Quarantino), hemp and quinoa and I also developed my three-year thesis entitled ” Grain protein crops: new perspectives”.
For the master internship, I won a scholarship as part of the project “International Undergraduate Research”, which allowed me to spend 3 months (June 2018-August 2018) at the University of Nevada, Reno (NV-USA) and here I worked on the project titled “Effects Of Multiwall Carbon Nanotube (MWCNs) In Lateral Root Growth Of Tomato And Lettuce”. For this project I grew in hydroponics lettuce and tomato plants treated with MWCNs and did root analysis using software such as Winrhizo. In addition, I assisted the other researchers with their tests on tomato, both in the greenhouse and in the field, on quinoa and in the laboratory.
Since March 2021 I have been a research fellow in the project “GRADITI – old grains for new health products” in which I am carrying out agronomic activities with ancient grains, hemp and field beans, in addition to supporting the farms involved in the project.
Since November 2021 I am also carrying out my PhD in Life Sciences at the University of Siena (SI, Italy) in collaboration with the CNR-IPSP entitled “Terpene profiling in leaves and flower of improved hemp genotypes” in which I follow both the aeroponic cultivation of hemp plants and the laboratory work with different analyses including those with HPLC and gas chromatography.
