Graduated in Science and Agrarian Technologies at University of Naples Federico II with a thesis entitled “Study of soil microbiome under different farming systems” done in collaboration with IPS-CNR in Portici. I learnt techniques of molecular biology, in particular DNA extraction and quantification and PCR. Now I am a scholarship holder at IPSP-CNR of Portici. My research activities aim at identifying at molecular and morphological level the arthropods and other representatives of the decomposing microfauna present in the vegetal biomasses sent for composting; and evaluate mature compost for its ability to induce direct and indirect defense mechanisms in selected plant-phytophagous systems (eg Tomato and Tuta absoluta and Tomato and Aphids).
