Research activities are focused on plant pathology with particular attention to phytoplasmosis of different plant species and mainly grapevine. Skills in molecular biology techniques applied to plant pathogen characterization. Development of molecular diagnostic tools in particular for phytoplasmas and viruses.
Nanotechnologies applied to plant disease diagnosis
Molecular studies on host-pathogen interactions, with particular interest on plant-phytoplasma systems, in order to identify the infection mechanisms of these pathogens as well as the activation of specific plant defense systems by proteomics, transcriptomics and comparative genomics
