Expertise in plant pathology, manipulation in vitro and in vitro of pathogenic organisms (fungi, bacteria and yeasts). Expertise on the development of evaluation trials to assess the efficacy of beneficial microorganisms and natural/plant-derived compounds (antagonistic/antimicrobial activity against plant pathogens, plant biostimulants) in vitro and in vivo (controlled condition and open field). Knowledge on the genetic, and anatomo-physiological mechanisms regulating host-pathogen interactions and in particular the phenomena of resistance in olive-Xylella fastidiosa pathosystem. Technical skills in molecular approaches for plant pathogen detection (PCR, real-time PCR and LAMP).
