Curriculum Vitae
I obtained a degree in Plant Agricultural Biotechnology and a doctorate in Cellular and Molecular Biotechnology at the University of Bologna, working with molecular methods for the identification of viruses of agricultural interest and with advanced techniques to study their interactions with the host plant and the related symptom’s determinism. During my career at the University of Bologna, DISTAL department, I have carried out research concerning the study of mechanisms of resistance of fungi to fungicides and the identification and characterization of bacteria and viruses of agricultural interest. From 2017 to 2022 I was an RTDa Researcher at the University of Bologna and my main field of interest was represented by the study of phytoplasmas and diseases associated with them, using microbiology techniques, molecular analysis, immunofluorescence and omics techniques that allow a more in-depth knowledge Since 2023 I have been working as a TD researcher at IPSP-Bari and my research activity has been mainly focused on the evaluation of the efficacy of bioformulations for the control of Xylella fastidiosa in olive trees, as part of the BIOVEXO Project – Biocontrol of Xylella and its Vector in Olive Trees for Integrated Pest Management. I am currently as research fellow at the same Institute, as part of the research program “Portable technologies and innovative protocols for the ultrasensitive diagnosis of Xylella fastidiosa directly in plants and vectors (1livexylella)”. I am the author of more than 50 peer reviewed publications and reviewer of about 30 journals of Plant Pathology and Microbiology.
