Curriculum Vitae

Graduated in Viticultural and oenological sciences at the University of Turin, I have been working with CNR-IPSP for some time dealing with ampelography (study of grape varieties) both by observing morphology and studying the identification and relationships of grapevine varieties on genetic basis.
During the current research grant I will deal with the characterization, conservation, genetic and virological selection of grapevine germplasm, in particular following the ordinary management of the ampelographic collection of Grinzane Cavour, a vineyard that collects hundreds of different varieties of Vitis vinifera, recovered in Piedmont and beyond. I will also work on the ampelographic characterisation and exploitation of minor grape varieties resilient to environmental stresses.
