Curriculum Vitae

I obtained a master’s degree in Agricultural Science and Technology in 2008 at the University of Pisa and subsequently a phD in “Animal Production, Health and Food Hygiene in Countries with a Mediterranean Climate” at the Veterinary Department of that University (2012). During my phD I had the opportunity to work in the laboratory for the development of methods for the extraction and identification of numerous substances through the use of a gas chromatograph and HPLC. I also broadened my preparation by participating in university bioinformatics courses (University of Sassari, University of Naples-GenoPom project).
During my work experiences, in addition to perfecting chromatographic analysis techniques, I collaborated in the creation of bioassays with phytophagous insects and their parasitoids, perfecting their breeding techniques. I also participated in the drafting of various scientific papers in the context of some research projects which mainly concerned the morphological and molecular characterization of phytophagous and entomophagous insects with molecular techniques such as PCR, RFLP-PCR and RealTime PCR and subsequent gene sequencing, gene editing and population phylogenetic analysis.
