Curriculum Vitae

I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle in Paris, where I am involved in the HerbaSoil project, which investigates the impact of intensive agriculture on soil microbial biodiversity through an innovative paleogenomic approach. My work focuses on the extraction and sequencing of ancient microbial DNA from soil samples preserved in herbarium collections. The resulting data are compared with modern soil samples and analyzed using bioinformatic tools, with the aim of reconstructing how soil microbial communities have changed in response to agricultural intensification and global change. The project is conducted in a multidisciplinary context, integrating expertise in paleogenomics, environmental genomics, microbial ecology, and bioinformatics to study the taxonomic, phylogenetic, and functional diversity of soil microorganisms over the past 200 years.
