Curriculum Vitae

I am a PhD student in Artificial Intelligence for Agrifood and Environment at the University of Naples Federico II, in collaboration with CNR-IPSP and the company 3Bee Srl. My research focuses on the integration of remote sensing, environmental data, and in-hive sensor technology to support precision beekeeping and promote honeybees’ welfare. I am currently developing classification algorithms using Sentinel-2 imagery to map floral resources and evaluate their phenological dynamics in relation to apiary performance.
During my international internship at BOKU University (Vienna), I worked on implementing machine learning techniques in Google Earth Engine to correlate satellite-based vegetation indices with field-collected data, aiming to identify suitable landscapes for pollinators. I have also attended advanced training in remote sensing and molecular palynology, gaining skills in pollen analysis and botanical origin tracing of honey.
My background combines strong experience in animal welfare (MSc in Precision Livestock Farming, 110/110 cum laude), apiculture, environmental monitoring (LCA, GIS), and artificial intelligence. Through the use of high-resolution imagery, in-field observations, and hive sensors, my work contributes to the development of innovative tools for bees health monitoring and biodiversity conservation.
