Scientific interests:

-Molecular studies on host-pathogen interactions, with particular interest on plant-phytoplasma systems.
Phytoplasmas are pathogens with relevant economic impact of major crops and many plant species. The aim is to identify the phytoplasma infection mechanisms, as well as plant defense systems, by proteomics, transcriptomics and comparative genomics . Among the different studies on phytoplasma diseases, a particular attention is focused on Flavescence dorée of grapevine.
