Yasutomo Hoshika

My interest is in understanding the response of plants under changing environment (especially modeling of environmental botany of plant species as affected by environmental stress). Currently my main focus is the measurement of stomatal response to ozone, and its modeling. Ground surface ozone concentrations have been increasing. And ozone is considered as a significant phytotoxic air pollutant to cause an impairment of plant growth. I investigate mechanisms for stomatal response to ozone and apply analytical model to better understand biological significance of the stomatal response.
