Plant/environment interactions
AG.P01.025 – Plant disease interactions with other organisms and the surrounding environment
This line of research is aimed at characterizing plant interactions with pests, antagonists and symbionts through a multidisciplinary approach, and at expanding the knowledge of the communication strategies between different compartments of the same plant, between plants, between plants and other organisms, between plants and the environment and between crop pests and their antagonists. We intend to exploit plant natural defences, by optimizing the biocontrol of pathogens and increasing the performance of pest antagonists and plant symbionts, in order to obtain products with low environmental impact and high commercial value.
