Evaluation of weed management strategies with low herbicide use for the main field crops (maize, soybean, wheat). Field experiments are conducted to test management strategies based on the integration of chemical, mechanical, and cultural tools and tactics. Agronomic (weed control level, crop yield), environmental and economic parameters are monitored and analyzed. Innovative tools and tactics, such as specific machineries for band herbicide application, are also developed and tested. Predictive models are created to simulate dynamics of weed emergence according to environmental conditions.
