Curriculum Vitae
I hold a Master of Science in Molecular Biology from the University of Zagreb, where I developed a strong academic and research foundation in plant pathology and general virology. During my University studies, I completed an internship at the Ruđer Bošković Institute, Division of Molecular Biology, in the Laboratory for Chemical Biology. There, I performed biomolecule extractions involved in plant–virus signalling pathways, contributing to a deeper understanding of the molecular mechanisms that shape host responses to viral infection. During my master’s thesis, I conducted a molecular characterization of Citrus leaf blotch virus (CLBV). Since 1st of December 2025 I am a doctoral fellow at the CNR-IPSP-SS Bari in the frame of MSCA-doctoral network “ViroiDoc”. My research project focuses on the identification and characterization of novel infectious circular viroid-like RNAs in fungi of agronomic and agro-food interest as well as in other organims as plants and bacteria, with the aim to elucidate their biological and ecological roles and to assess their potential utility for biotechnological applications in sustainable agriculture.
