Curriculum Vitae

I obtained a Master’s Degree in “Biohealth Sciences” (LM-6) from the University of Bari “Aldo Moro”. I have currently completed my PhD in Translational Medicine and Management of Health Systems at the University of Foggia. During this journey I was involved in studying the role of nanovesicles derived from a very widespread cultivation in Puglia, Solanum lycopersicum (Tomato), in the wound healing process. I carried out studies on in vitro models of cell lines mainly involved in tissue repair, such as keratinocytes and fibroblasts, in order to find a new treatment for wound healing by implementing the use of the known antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities of therapeutic components, such as lycopene, ascorbic acid and α-tocopherol present in tomatoes.
