Since my arrival at the Institute of Nematology, subsequently merged into the Institute for Sustainable Plant Protection, my research activity has focused on the sustainable management of plant parasitic nematodes through strategies with reduced environmental impact. In this context, I have conducted research on a wide range of plant-derived nematicidal compounds (glucosinolates, saponins, essential oils and others), organic amendments (compost, agro-industrial residues) with a suppressive action on plant parasitic nematodes, thermal soil treatments ( solarization, steam). As part of this activity, I was author or co-author of over 200 publications in international journals and responsible for bilateral projects with research Institutes in Poland, Hungary, Slovak Republic, Morocco, as well as having activated numerous research contracts with national and multinational companies.
